Cnoc Eoghainn is the perfect cottage for a week of complete relaxation. Ideally located in the heart of highland Perthshire it has a warm and cosy feel, with an open fire, just what you need in Scotland in July! Beautiful garden, and good neighbours. Would highly recommend a visit, and we will definitely return.

Location was good for walking. Kinloch Rannoch is quiet but has facilities. Cnoc Eoghainn is comfortable and clean It has a well kept garden for sitting out on fine days.

Absolutely fabulous cottage: comfortable, spacious, cosy, well equipped. The surrounding area is peaceful, calm and serene with dramatic landscapes. We would like to return one day. Highly recommend it.

Absolutely gorgeous cottage! Clean and well equipped. Beautiful garden and a cosy fireplace. The cottage is a good starting point to explore the surrounding area. We will go back and hope the weather will be better.

Never having been in this part of Scotland before we were delighted when we found this lovely welcoming cottage. It was surprisingly spacious inside and out, straight out of an Enid Blyton novel. The bedrooms were so comfortable and everything was immaculate. We did so much more than we expected to do in that week, like climbing Schiehallion, cycling to Bridge of Gaur, fishing out on the loch and exploring our local surroundings. Further afield I would recommend the Killiecrankie Visitor Centre to everyone where you can explore all day even after the centre has closed. We watched for some time, fascinated, as a Red Squirrel fed alongside some beautiful small birds. We would all love to return to this cottage - you never know, maybe someday!

A delightful, very well equipped, and ideally situated cottage;we had an excellent October week break! The welcome surprise addition of a video and dvd player kept our young daughter more than happy during the inevitable rainy days. (many thanks to the charming Mrs Garry next door, who provide us with stacks of videos and dvds!) Plenty of lovely walks close by, good wild mushroom collecting, and a warm welcome in the nearby Stables bar with its great kids play area and huge enclosed and heated outside seating area complete with wide screen Sky TV and ashtrays for the addicted! We couldnt have asked for more, and the well equipped kitchen in the cottage made preparing evening meals a pleasant chore. A roaring fire at night, Schiehallion rising from the mist in the morning, and the glorious Autumn colours lit up in the sunlight during the day. Many nice touches such as tea, coffee and milk provided on arrival; so highly recommended that Ellie wanted to stayfor another week!

Our week at Cnoc Eoghainn was delightful! The cottage is very comfortable and charming with a spacious fenced backyard with a perfect view of Schiehallion. Peonies, columbine, and poppies line the grass, and birds fly in and out of the rowan tree. Our challenge was to limit the many activities we had planned (hiking - yes, we bagged the mountain/munro - castle visits, stone circle hunting and more) - so we could actually enjoy the cottage! There are many hiking maps and local histories in the cottage, which were very helpful and entertaining. The new TV enabled us to catch the end of the World Cup each night. Kinloch Rannoch is a lovely village with several places to eat, a post office and a grocery store. Its at the end of everything, and thats part of its charm. Corinne made all the arrangements very easy, and Mrs. Garry in the next cottage is an excellent caretaker. We do hope to return one day and Cnoc Eoghainn!

Stayed 13th to 20th August 2005. The cottage is absolutely gorgeous and the setting is unbeatable. Eating your breakfast with a view of Schiehallion is a great start to the day. Very peaceful and a wonderful location. Many species of birds abound in the lovely garden and the cottage is equipped for every need - we managed a whole week away without eating out once! Highly recomended to anyone wanting to explore the Central Highlands or just chill for a week or two.

The cottage is picturesque and comfortable to live in with a fantastic view of the mountain from the back garden and kitchen window. Wild rabbits come right up to the kitchen window eating grass (and the flowers). Loch Rannoch is only a few yards down the road and can be seen from the main bedroom window. This is an ideal location for exploring the many Lochs, villages and countryside in central Scotland. We did manage to walk up Schiehallion mountain along a path made from stones and rocks. It took us all day to get up there and back but was well worth it although hard work. Go on a clear day with something to eat and drink. Another place, for what we think is an even better view, is the nearby very high hill you can see from the cottage with views right across Kinloch Rannoch town and the Loch. There is a footpath up to it behind some houses just past the petrol pump. When you get to a farm gate you have to leave the track and follow a path alongside the drystone wall. The cottage has everything you could need for a relaxing stay. We wished that we could have stayed there for 2 weeks and have said that we will probably go back to the same cottage again for another holiday.

Having looked for a non-smoking cottage free from traces of pets allergens, we found this cottage very pleasant. The secluded garden was ideal for children to play and the village shop was within walking distance. For me, the proximity of Schiehallion and the broad choice of Ordnance Survey maps at our disposal in the cottage increased the appeal even more. [Perhaps it would be an idea to include an average sum to cover the costs of used electricity in the rental fee, instead of paying for this separately on leaving.]
