WILDERNESS
COTTAGES
COTTAGES
OF THE MONTH
Glenurqhart, Glen Affic - often described as the most beautiful
glen in Scotland,
and Strathglass.
We enjoy marketing all our holiday cottages, we must it is our business
and we would never expect our clients to stay anywhere that we would
not.
Glenurquhart
and Glen Affic are areas we know well. Glen Affic is now a designated
National Nature Reserve, it's breathtaking beauty, provides access
to the wild and more remote areas of Scotland. Wildlife abounds
within the remnants of the ancient Caledonian Pine Forest...red
deer, golden eagle, badger, pine marten, otter and many more. This
area of Scotland is unique giving the ideal destination for those
seeking a holiday with a difference. Whether you wish to ramble
or cycle on miles of forest tracks, climb Munros, fish for salmon
and trout on river and loch, or simply relax and enjoy the magical
surroundings we have it all here! These are all the reasons
we keep going back and you will want to also.
30th
May - 2nd June 2008 is the Glen Affic Walking Festival. Guided walks
from easy - strenuous during the weekend.
Sheaig
Croft is an original stone cottage that has been tastefully
upgraded and has lovely views over Loch Meikle and the Affic hills
beyond.

just wondering the hills and forests.
Being only a short drive from Glen Affic they are well sited for
visting this wonderful area
and just a short drive in the opposite direction takes you to Drumnadrochit,
Urquhart Castle, restaurants, cafes, the Loch Ness Visitor centre
and all things Nessie!.

stands amidst the wonderful surroundings of Strathglass, just a
jewel of a property in a wonderful place, Oh! how we envy the owner.
When you stay at Fuaran you will be overcome by the peace and tranquility
of its location and the calm that will descend on you. After
a day out in the countryside or visiting the local villages,
maybe your trip has taken you to the ancient fishing villages of
Cromarty or Portmahomack, or perhaps you had a round of golf at
Royal Dornoch. You can return to Fuaran, relax in comfort
