Littlepark Cottage Self Catering

Littlepark Cottage, Fersit, Roy Bridge - Self catering cottage. Sleeps 6 (plus 2 with sofa bed). Two pets welcome.

This former railway cottage, Littlepark, is adjacent to the scenic West Highland railway line near the head of Loch Treig, in Glen Spean. Set in 14 acres of mature native woodlands in the heart of this remote and beautiful Glen. The cottage is tastefully furnished in a traditional style, comfortable and cosy with an open fire in the lounge. The conservatory offers some fine views of the Creag Meagaidh mountains and National Nature reserve, the glass roof of the conservatory is excellent for star gazing, you will see what we mean when you see the clear air and skies at night in this area free from light polution.

Littlepark is a convenient base for skiing with the Nevis Range about 30 minutes and The Cairngorms just over 1 hours drive. This area offers some superb hillwalking and with at least 5 Munros on your doorstep and plenty of low level walks this is the perfect base for a climbing holiday. Trout fishing and Mountain biking is also available. Roy Bridge, the nearest village about 8 miles, has a couple of nice hotel restaurants for eating and Spean bridge a few miles further on, offers some excellent restaurants, shops and cafes. You can visit the Great Glen water park for fun activities, take a boat trip from Fort William, or a trip on the steam train 'The Jacobite' from Fort William to Malliag, this was voted the most scenic line in the country.

Well behaved pets are welcome at Littlepark, but please do remember this is wild country, with plenty of sheep and deer around, so please do not let your dog roam it is dangerous and hill farmers take a dislike to dogs worrying sheep.

If for any reason we are unable to accommodate you at Littlepark Cottage then we have Fersit Log Cottage, just a few minutes away.

• Large living/dining room, with open fire and a piano. French doors open out to the garden. Freeview TV, Video, DVD, CD/Hi- Fi. The lounge also has a bed settee to accommodate 2 extra people.
• Conservatory with mountain views. Large decked are adjacent to the conservatory.
• Fully equipped kitchen with electric range-style cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwaves and all the usual utensils, separate utility room with ironing facilities.
• A toilet with wash hand basin is located off the utility room.
• Payphone.
• One double bedroom, One twin bedroom and one bedroom with bunk beds, which are suitable for adults.
• Cot and high chair available.
• Bathroom with bath, shower attachment,separate shower and heated towel rail.

Included in the price

• Oil, electricity, logs for the fire. Oil fired central heating.
• Bed linen.

Garden furniture, but sorry no barbecue.

The garden is fenced but is not fully enclosed.

Sorry towels are not available so please remember to bring your own.

Please note. If you are holidaying with children that there is a small lochan in the woodlands.
