This stunning property situated on the edge of a lochan in the Strath of Appin, is part of a small development of luxury lodges, the spacious property has been furnished and equipped to a high standard, and has a large decked balcony at the front of the property, overlooking the lochan.
The property is situated at Glengoulandie Country Park, and guests have full use of the amenities situated there. These include; access to the Deer Park which has a large herd of Red Deer, Highland Cows, Goats and Soay Sheep, access to the fly-fishing Lochan, stocked with both Rainbow and Brown Trout, fly rods to rent and fishing permits are available on site, and finally access to the Children's Play Park. There is also a small coffee shop on site serving breakfast, light lunches and take away.
The property is located 8 miles from the town of Aberfeldy and 6 miles from the village of Tummel Bridge. The surrounding area offers a wide range of activities to suit everyone in the family, from white-water rafting, quad biking, clay pigeon shooting, paint-balling, fishing, hill walking and golf, to name but a few. Perthshire really does offers one of the most varied selection of activities in Scotland, so you are sure to find something to pass your time.
The fairy mountains of Schiehallion, often referred to as the pointy mountain, can be seen from a great distance at 1083 metres (3553ft) high, Ben Lawers and Ben Vrackie are also close by, and the nearby lochs of the Tay, Tummel and Rannoch, offer fishing and sailing.
Places of interest nearby include the town of Pitlochry with it's famous fish ladder and Festival theatre, the village of Blair Atholl and Blair Castle, the shopping haven of The House of Bruar, and the city of Perth. The town of Aberfeldy has a varied selection of shops, offering traditional scottish fair and antiques. There is also a wide selection of tradional pubs, cafes and restaurants.
The house sleeps six, and the spacious accommodation comprises a large double height open plan living/dining/kitchen area with three bedrooms, two doubles & one twin, all with adjoining bathroom/shower rooms. The living room and one of the double bedrooms, both have patio doors opening out onto the front balcony, overlooking the lochan.
