Remote Holiday Cottages - Get away from it all...
If you are looking for that true wilderness, get away from it all, experience, we have a selection of properties that fit the bill. Some are more accessible than other so please choose carefully, especially if you wish to visit during winter months, but each is guaranteed to offer a magical holiday experience - as close as you can get to a wilderness holiday in the UK.
Just because these properties feel remote it doesn't mean you have to do without your creature comforts. All are exceptionally well appointed and some offer wood burning stoves or open fires for those cosy evenings. For those that don't want to lose connection from the outside world, WiFi is available in some cottages, although mobile phone connections can be poor in some of the properties - please check the descriptions or ask us for advice if this is important to you.
Many of these holiday cottages are ideally suited to hillwalkers wishing to explore some of the less easy to get to Munros (Scottish mountains over 3000ft) and are a great base from which to expand your tick list!
Some of the properties below give the feeling of remoteness while still being relatively easy to get to, so if your not ready for a full on "back to the wild" experience then these may be a better choice for your Scottish holiday.
Askival is located in a fabulous position in the small crofting township of Portuairk. It is adjacent to the shore of a super sandy beach which continues into Sanna Bay, and enjoys panoramic views to Rum, Muck, Eigg and Skye.
Beach Lodge is located in a secluded shoreline location overlooking Labrax Bay. The property a former Victorian Bathing Lodge has been extensively renovated, and with direct access to the beach the house is ideal for the pet owner.

Highland Coach House is a newly renovated property situated in the picturesque area of Strathconon, just five miles from the small village of Marybank. Beautifully appointed the property is stylishly furnished and equipped to a high standard.
Hill Cottage is a traditional stone cottage set on its own at Fanagmore with stunning views over Loch Laxford. The property is ideally located to experience this regions remote natural beauty with secluded bays, sandy beaches and towering cliffs.
Kilmartin Estate Cottage sits on its own in the hills of Glenurquhart, on the owners 1700 acre estate, where you can wander to your heart content. A traditional detached cottage, comfortably furnished and has lovely views across the glen.
Kinloch Damph Lodge situated within the Glasnock Estate, nestles among some of the most spectacular scenery in Scotland, surrounded by deer forests, and within a few minutes walk of Loch Damph.
Leachachan Barn sits in an enviable shoreline location on the banks of Loch Duich. Inside the interior has quite a wow factor with a vaulted ceiling and large picture windows to enjoy the views of Loch Duich and the Five Sisters of Kintail.
Littlepark Cottage is a former railway cottage adjacent to the West Highland railway. The cottage is tastefully furnished in a traditional style with an open fire. It makes a convenient base for skiing, walking, fishing and cycling.
Moll House is situated just a few miles from Sconser on Skye's east coast. The property enjoys a fabulous shoreline location with views across to Scalpay and Raasay. The properties enviable position makes it an ideal base for a family holiday.
