River Cottage is a unique little property ideal for a couple/small family, just one mile from Drumnadrochit and Loch Ness. You are well placed here to visit the Isle of Skye, the Northern Highlands or closer to, Glen Affric is just 30 minutes away.

River cottage is a perfectly place little cottage ideal for a couple, This was our first visit to Scotland and we could not have wanted more over our 10 day stay, travelled over 1300 miles while staying here at this central point in the Highlands, comfortable modern cottage and well equiped with very helpfull and friendly owners who live very close by. We will definitely use again. Kevin and Sharon (Norfolk)

MacNeill's Cottage is the end cottage of three former farm cottages. The view from the lounge over Loch Ness is splendid and outside on the decking you can really soak up the atmosphere of this famous loch, you never know you may spot 'Nessie'.

Just to add to the previous reveiws of this cottage with our experience. The cottage was spotless and warm, as when we arrived it was just above freezing!! Didn't take us long to get that lovely log fire roaring I can tell you (after quick visit to get kindling from the freindly locals at the garage). We all had a fabulous week there with tempertures never going above +2 degree and down to -8 at night with snow, PLENTY of snow.;-]

Don Cottage a traditional Highland cottage offers comfortable accommodation about a mile from the village of Drumnadrochit the Nessie capital of Loch Ness. There are numerous low level walks close to the cottage and many Munros within an hours drive.

We stayed in Don Cottage over Thanksgiving, Nov. 2009. After having some issues with our Sat Nav not finding the cottage, we finally found it after asking someone. :) The cottage is beautiful! Our family of four loved it. It was very quiet, peaceful and a lovely place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved the Loch Ness area. I highly recommend the Don Cottage!!

Another great week in Balmacree Cottage (our 3rd year). Plenty of snow when we arrived and lots more during the week. All enjoyed sledging down the slopes in the garden.Got snowed in but still enjoyed the week, even though we had to dig the car out when we were ready to return home.Thank you Donald (cottage owner) for bringing shovels and extra logs down. We will be back there next year.

Creag nah Iolaire has the most breathtaking view of Loch Ness. A detached property perched high on the hill above Drumnadrochit, where you can enjoy the local amenities. The cottage is set on a working farm and popular horse riding centre.

23/2/10 Quality homely cottage. Situated high above Loch Ness the views from the living area and from one of the double bedrooms upstairs are breathtaking. All you need is here. Literally hundreds of books available to read from the bookcases. Note the cottage is accessed by a very steep road. Would love to return again. Highly recommended. Ray Walters.

Marnie's Croft, a detached property set in attractive gardens has magnificent views of Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle. The cottage is private and secluded, so lots of wildlife to be seen in the garden. It is also a great place for 'Nessie' spotting.

The Cottage was perfect, did not want to leave. Warm clean and with all facilities required for a holiday. Highly recommended. Views of the Loch superb.

Hillhead Croft is a former croft cottage with charm and character. It is tastefully furnished and has a wood burning stove. It is situated on a promontory above Loch Ness in the tiny village community of Inverfarigaig.

This was our 7th time with Wilderness cottages, all have surpassed excellence. The welcome was wonderful and we almost feel like locals so many people recognised us and had us around for coffee and joined us on our walks. Thank you Corrine for facilitating these little trips of peace. We are already looking for our next trip!

Allt a’ Mhuilinn a former meal mill provides luxury accommodation in a unique setting just a short walk to the shores of Loch Ness. The upstairs living room allows you to appreciate the views and offers a solid fuel stove for the cooler evenings.

This was our 2nd holiday in this beautiful cottage in the beautiful area of Scotland. The Dores Inn serves the best food we have eaten in ages... highly recommend the Haggis! We are a couple who do not drive and came by plane and bus. I reaslise this is quite an unusual choice of holiday if you do not drive, but I really suggest that if you do drive, you leave the car at home for at least a couple of days and enjoy the local scenery on foot... we saw lots of deer in Torr Wood :)

Ceol-na-Mara is located on the shores of Loch Kishorn offering uninterrupted views of the area. The beauty of the Western Highlands is on your doorstep making it an ideal centre for boating, fishing, walking, wildlife spotting, cycling or relaxing.

A lovely cottage, so close to the sea-loch that you can hear the waves lapping on the shore. Comfortable and well-equipped. I had a lovely relaxing week there
