Old Net Store - Inverness, Nairn & The Black Isle

The Old Net Store is located in the pretty coastal village of Avoch on the Black Isle near Inverness. The property is bright and spacious and makes an excellent base. Dolphins and seals are regulary spotted on the coastline and boat trips are available.

A perfect base for an adventurous holiday. We got to John O'Groats, distilleries, Skye and the wildlife park in Kingussie! The lounge is fantastic - comfy seating area for Olympics viewing and amazing views over the harbour. We would highly recommend the Eilean Dubh restaurant in Fortrose too - delicious food! Internet access was intermittent and we're not sure why the Sky TV was set to BBC London. For two of us, the cottage was a little large, but it still felt cosy. Would happily return.

we loved the 'Old Net Store' it was homely, cosy and has amazing constantly changing views over the harbour. Plenty of space for a family and loads of interesting books to read. The village of Avoch ( we learnt is pronounced Auch)has much to offer in the way of shops, lovely little walks, a wee park and food outlets. Beware the Chinese gives HUGE portions!! We would certainly recommend it as a location to travel from and spend a great family holiday.

What a wonderful location - looking out over the harbour and situated within easy walking distance of the village amenities including take aways, pub and co-op. Dolphins are visible from the shore, a short drive away, which was wonderful. Would highly recommend it.

We stayed at the Old Net Store in Avoch - what a great location! The cottage is beautiful, was lovely and clean, and decorated to a high standard, we felt at home straight away. The local facilities were great too, Avoch is a really tiny village, and the house is just steps away from the peaceful harbour, but it has a pub, a Co-op, an Indian & Chinese and a Post Office, so we were excellently catered for! Would recommend 100%.
