Directions to Mull by road.

The shortest route for those coming by car from the south is either by.

M6/A74/M8/A82 to Crianlarich and Oban, or via Stirling and Callander to Crianlarich if travelling from the east coast.

Whether you reach Oban by road or rail, the next stage is to take the car ferry to Craignure.

Alternatively, coming by way of Glencoe, Ballachulish Bridge take the Corran Ferry. Drive across the spectacular Morvern peninsular to get the Lochaline - Fishnish car ferry.

Since this ferry cannot be booked, at busy times in the summer you should not travel too late in the day.

If you plan to take your car onto the Oban - Craignure ferry you should book both ways during the summer.

Alternative from Fort William, this route is useful when travelling down from the north, especially at busy times during the summer.

At Fort William take the A830 west along Loch Eil for aprox. 10 miles. At the end of Loch Eil take the left turn onto the A861 and follow the coast road which joins the route at Coran to cross Morvern. This route avoids using the Coran ferry and is an especially nice drive in good weather.

Whichever route you take to the Isle of Mull, you will pass through some of the most spectacular scenery in Scotland.
 

Directions from the ferry to Tobermory.

If you are travelling from Oban to Craignure the you should turn right off the ferry linkspan and head towards Salen and Tobermory.

If you are travelling on the Lochaline to Fishnish ferry you should travel up the ferry road to the T junction and then make a right turn towards Salen and Tobermory. This road follows the coast all the way into Tobermory.

 

Directions to Fairways Lodge from Tobermory bay.

As you enter Tobermory drive along the seafront and immediately after "Tackle and Books" shop, turn left onto B882 signposted "Dervaig, Culgary, Gruline". Past Sagir Indian restaurant, uphill. Bear left and immediate right and continue uphill. Bear right steeply * continue uphill along Erray Road and take the turning to Tobermory Golf Club.

Drive past the club, [and passing 3 large houses, then a large white house followed by a large green house on your left] and bear left, Fairways lodge is at the end of the road.

Directions to Creagan cottage.

As above till *
100 Yards on, turn left into Raeric Road. Creagan cottage is 50 yards on the right.
