New Properties

We’ve had four new properties join us in November. Two on the Isle of Skye and two in Laide, Wester Ross, on Scotland’s West Coast.

Skye

We have a wide selection of cottages on Skye, and we are now pleased to be able to offer you Pipers Lodge, near Glendale and Number 16 which is near Dunvegan.

Pipers Lodge

Pipers Lodge is a contemporary holiday home, newly built and set in a stunning location with magnificent views.

Sleeping two in a sumptuous super king-sized bed, this modern twist on a holiday cottage provides the ideal romantic getaway destination. The bathroom has a double ended bath, built for sharing, and a large shower. Towels and slippers are provided.

The kitchen and living areas are very well equipped, ensuring that your stay is as relaxing as it could be. Comfy reclining chairs and floor to ceiling windows mean that you can enjoy the views in comfort. A large flat screen TV and complimentary WiFi are available if that’s more your thing.

Outside, Pipers Lodge provides the cherry on the cake with a hot tub, so you can soak up the views.

Number 16

Another modern take on the traditional Skye farmhouse, Number 16 sleeps 4 in comfort and is ideal accommodation for a family or two couples. The property sits on a 3-acre plot, so privacy is assured, and private access to the beach is ideal for those interested in watersports. (Bring your own Kayak!)

Wildlife can be spotted all around. Dolphins, seals and otters are regularly seen, and you may be lucky enough to see an eagle. Skye is home to White Tailed Eagles (AKA Sea Eagles) and Golden Eagles, so you stand more chance of seeing these wonderful creatures here than anywhere else in the UK.

Number 16 is very comfortable. The master bedroom has a super king sized bed, the other bedroom provides twin beds. Both have en-suite facilities. Views from the living areas are very special, and the spacious kitchen and dining area are very well appointed with many modern conveniences. The cosy lounge is equipped with a log burning stove.

Bed linen, towels, electricity, heating and WiFi are all included in the price.

Wester Ross (Scotland’s North West Coast)

Our two new properties in Wester Ross are both near Laide. Udrigle House and Earth House. They are both unique in their own, very different, ways.

Udrigle House

Udrigle House is a Grade A listed holiday home, built sometime around 1700, that has been sympathetically restored by its current owners. They have retained many original features while making it a wonderful holiday cottage that sleeps 6. If you’re lucky enough to stay at Udrigle House, you’ll find it has fantastic panoramic views over the nearby bay and the area offers excellent walking, climbing and birdwatching.

Ideal for a family or group of friends, this charming property is well equipped, even boasting a Sauna room. The location is the star attraction however.

Earth House

And now for something completely different! This unique and quirky property provides guests with an experience they won’t forget. As you can see from the picture, the property looks like it is underground!

Don’t let this put you off though, all rooms have outside windows and are very comfortable.  The property is warm, cosy and very well appointed, with living and dining areas having floor to ceiling windows and direct access to the patio. The property provides sleeping for 4 in two en-suite bedrooms; one king and a twin.

Views from the property are impressive, over Gruinard Bay and towards the mountains of Assynt.

If you feel like staying somewhere a little out of the ordinary, this could be just the place.
