Morile Mhor Cottge is a beautiful property located in the small rural village of Tomatin in the Cairngorm National Park. Located just 15 miles south from the City of Inverness the property makes an ideal base for exploring the Highlands. The main property sleeps six, however for a larger family The Annex is available (sleeps 4) for an additional weekly charge.

Tastefully furnished throughout and equipped to a high standard the property offers modern spacious accommodation for a family. The ground level has a large sitting/dining room with a wood burner, and a spacious conservatory with views to the surrounding countryside. Further facilities include a modern family bathroom with a shower and a kitchen equipped with everything any avid cook would need.

On the upper level there are two bedrooms; a large spacious family room with a king size bed and two twins and a separate double bedroom.  The bedroom layout makes it ideal for families with younger children, although for older children or perhaps grandparents The Annex could be utilised. Completing the facilities on this level is a small toilet.

Tomatin is a charming small village, famous for its whisky distillery, which was once the largest single malt distillery in Scotland. Situated near the banks of the River Findhorn, this is a wonderful area for exploring nature with fantastic opportunities for fishing and grouse shooting. The village is serviced by the Strathdearn community centre which provides a local shop and sports courts, and this is located just a short walk from the house.

Lying halfway between Inverness and Aviemore, Tomatin has easy access to both the city and the Cairngorm National Park. Only a 25 minute drive away, Inverness, the capital of the Highlands, offers a metropolitan experience, with a range of shops, bars and restaurants. From here it is easy to reach Loch Ness, where you can hunt for Nessie from the land or the water on a loch cruise. Many of the historical attractions of the area can be easily reached from Morile Mhor, including Culloden Battlefield, Clava Cairns, Fort George and Brodie Castle. If whisky is more your flavour, follow the Malt Whisky Trail to Elgin and through the northern Cairngorms.

The Cairngorms National Park is a vast natural playground where you can take part in all manners of outdoor activities including hiking, mountain biking, golf, rafting and climbing. Aviemore is the central hub for the region, where you can find outdoor specialists, shops and restaurants. If you’re looking family days out Landmark Forest Adventure Park, the Highland Wildlife Park and the Cairngorm Reindeer Centre are excellent fun for all ages.

The Annex - Sleeps 4 (additional weekly charge of £450.00 applies in peak season)

To the rear of Morile Mhor Cottage, The Annex is available for additional accommodation for a larger family or perhaps grandparents or older children. This property is self contained and includes a sitting/dining area, a kitchen, two bedrooms and a spacious bath/shower room. Please note that this is only rented along with the main house.
