Alt Na Slat is a beautiful two-bedroomed cottage located within the Tomdoun Estate. This traditional stone-build property includes many modern features to make your stay extra special. With spectacular views of the Glen and an abundance of outdoor space to roam, guests can be sure to expect a peaceful and relaxing stay.

Tomdoun Estate spans over 11,000 acres of unspoilt Highlands, west of Fort Augustus and north-east of Mallaig. Rich in clan heritage it is the perfect place to explore the ancient spirit of the Highlands and embrace the wilderness of this spectacular area. Tomdoun Estate also has some fantastic stretches of river and perfect fishing spots, if this is something of interest to you. You will spot an abundance of wildlife around the Estate, including wild red and roe deer roaming the hills and regular visitors, the golden eagle and osprey!

The Glen Garry region is the perfect Highland base, situated between Fort William and Inverness – two of the most popular tourist destinations in Scotland. These areas have so much to offer tourists, including breath-taking lochs, castles, championship golf courses, world-famous distilleries, and award-winning hotels and restaurants.

If you are a keen hillwalker, why not visit Fort William and climb Ben Nevis or head to the nearby Nevis Range at Aonach Mor and experience the mountain gondola? Glenfinnan Viaduct, situated at the head of Loch Shiel, is also under an hour’s drive. You will find the famous Jacobite steam train here as featured in the Harry Potter films, which runs from Fort William to Mallaig.

For a scenic walk, Kinloch Hourn is worth a trip stretching a glorious 22 miles of single-track road until you find the sea at the head of Loch Hourn, or go a further 7 miles on foot to beautiful Barrisdale Bay, seen as one of Scotland’s two main gateways to the remote mainland region of Knoydart.
