In total we have received 5089 reviews from guests, of which 97% have ranked their stay as Very Good or Excellent.

A good way to judge whether a property will be suitable for your self catering holiday is to see what previous guests had to say about their visit. I stayed in Strone at a lovely property managed by Wilderness Cottages, with three friends from London. We were only there for three nights but it was the most fantastic stay, with so many activities in easy driving distance - and the cottage was a perfect base, equipped with all the utensils and furnishings we could possibly want. We were even gifted a cake and a bottle of wine! The price was really competitive and the service was just above and beyond. Will definitely think of Wilderness Cottages if I visit this part of Scotland again.

Tremendous Holiday, Cottage was excellent, great views, very cosy and the welcome pack, the best ever. Even Bart our dog got a reward! The roads are difficulty, but we surprisingly adapted and got used to them rapidly. For first timers I would suggest the cottage is best approached via Lochinver, the blind summit the other way is literally blind. Lots of trips to do including one to Smoo Cave. Saw the longest Waterfall in UK by boat followed by excellent lunch in the bar at the Kylesku hotel. On the Downside the Wildlife seemed to have gone on vacation. Not impressed by the Drumbeg Hotel or the Smoo Bar

We had an amazing week at this beautiful, secluded property. Poulary is well equipped and maintained to a high standard by the owner and Audrey the wonderful cleaner/caretaker. The variety of wildlife on the doorstep is amazing, take lots of bird food to replenish the feeders daily. Deer and Pine martins visited each evening. There are walks from the door and many more further down the Glen. The property is remote (that's why we chose it ). Take supplies with you, unless you want to travel, the nearest shops are quite a distance away. A brilliant week and we hope to visit again next year.

Amazing place, peaceful, secluded, plenty of wildlife, well equiped and cosy house. Just be careful in your car on the lane upto the house as it is very uneven and potholey.

We spent a wonderful week at Hill Cottage which was in an idilic position overlooking wonderful views of loch Laxford. The cottage was very comfortable and peaceful and surrounded by stunning mountain scenery. There were several beautiful bays nearby to visit and great walks. A week wasn't nearly long enough.

Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our week away. We started saying 'when we get home' when returning to Ceol Na Mara in Kishorn. Says it all. Every early morning view was different. Super-clean, well supplied, comfy. Don't block up the calendar, we want to return????

Lovely, cosy, comfortable house with stunning views in a quiet beautiful village. Everything catered for and very good value. Not a criticism as I'm sure it can be fixed but there is something wrong with the shower. We could only get cold or luke warm water so needs looking at before next guests arrive. Fortunately it didn't spoil our holiday as we had fantastic weather. Would thoroughly recommend this property
