The Barn, Corrimony is a beautifully converted barn in a delightful rural setting beside a working farm and set within the RSPB reserve of Corrimony. This fantastic building provides high-quality self-catering accommodation for up to 6 people. This is an ideal property for family get-togethers or groups looking to retreat to an idyllic location. It is also very close to Loch Ness and geographically ideal for touring the Highlands and west coast. Pets are welcome but must be supervised at all times as sheep occupy the surrounding fields.
The Barn, Corrimony is nestled in the Corriemony RSPB nature reserve – home to miles of stunning scenery and excellent bird watching. Keep your eyes peeled for black grouse and golden eagles! Within a few minutes' walk of the property is the Corriemony chambered cairn, complete with a stone circle.
The closest village, Cannich, is a 10-minute drive away and offers a shop, café and pub with restaurant. From here, you can continue through Glen Affric, a beautiful nature reserve where two large waterfalls can be found – Dog Falls and Plodda Falls. If you find yourself missing the hustle and bustle, the Highland city of Inverness is only a 45-minute drive away.
Corrimony is perfectly located to explore Loch Ness, home to the famous Nessie. A 15-minute drive away is the larger village of Drumnadrochit, the centre for loch-based activities. Here you can take a cruise on the loch, visit the ruins of Urquhart Castle and learn about its fascinating history or go to the Loch Ness Exhibition Centre.

The barn is really relaxing, lovely position if you like peace and quiet. Well equipped but Wi-Fi is very intermittent. Enclosed gardens so the dogs loved it, especially the big front garden. Lovely walks from door and locally. Would have given 5 stars except for the Wi-Fi.
We had an absolutely fantastic time at the barn! Couldn't recommend it highly enough. The area is stunning, the accommodation had everything we needed, and the owners were very helpful. I also want to mention how helpful Julie from wilderness cottages was, she went above and beyond to ensure our holiday was everything we wanted it to be. Thank you so much
We had a great week at The Barn; both well equipped and comfortable, it provided everything we needed. As another reviewer has mentioned, the internet is relatively slow. Still, it didn't bother us - it was adequate for checking email and the weather forecast. Easy walks from the door, and there's plenty do do around Loch Ness. Thanks to the owner and Wilderness Cottages for a brilliant break.
Great location and lovely property we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Beautiful home.. Lovely location plenty of walk.. Really clean with ample washing and drying facilities very close to the Loch Ness.. Co op not too far and well stocked .. Would benefit from more pots and pans.
A lovely cottage, very clean and spacious, fabulous log burner and ample space in all the rooms along with great views. There is a well stocked CO-OP within 15 mins drive as well as the Loch Ness Visitors Centre and plenty of gift shops close by too.Inverness is also within easy reach. The house is nice and quiet which was lovely however it would benefit from some extra pots and pans to accomadate a large party. We would certainly return without hesitation!
This property was the best we have ever stayed in. It was in a beautiful rural location, the Barn was equipped to an exceptional standard clearly no expense spared. Mamie the owner was close by and was a very helpful and informative owner. We will give this property a five star rating but it goes way above that standard.we will hopefully return.
The Barn is spacious, comfortable, well equipped and clean. The Wifi is a little weak but who needs this when in the Highlands. There is lots to do and we made the most of every day. Lots of walks on the doorstep. I can recommend a walk to Corrimony Falls. It was our favourite waterfall although Plodda falls was impressive too. There is a friendly Spar in Cannich and I can recommend The Bog Cotton cafe also in Cannich. We had an amazing week and we loved every minute, the only trouble is that it went too quick.
A fantastic house, much bigger than it appears on the photos. It had everything we required and was so clean and modern. We loved all the walks available from the house. There is secure storage for bikes, I wish I had realised this and brought our bikes to explore further.
The Barn is a lovely holiday home, very spacious, comfortable and well equipped, with a good garden as well. We had a great week in early May, walking and cycling from the house. Lots to see and do further out as well. Mamie, the owner, is nearby if needed. Would love to return, highly recommend.
Excellent barn property converted to a high standard. Wonderful dog walking from the door and big enclosed garden to relax in afterwards. The owner Mamie lives nearby and was on hand to make sure our holiday ran smoothly. Great location for walks, Inverness also for local shops and fuel. Everything about the property feels new and clean. Highly recommended.
