The Old Meeting House is only a few yards from the sea shore, and looks out over the sea to Kishorn Island and the Isle of Skye. Originally built in 1840, as one of many “Ladies Schools” throughout the Highlands built to educate the local children, The Old Meeting House was completely renovated in 2018 to a very high and luxurious standard.
The spacious open plan design incorporates a raised sleeping area (with king size double bed), large sitting room with wood burner (in addition to full central heating), a modern very well equipped kitchen and a luxury bathroom. The dining area and all the front windows, overlook the sea. There is plenty of car parking space, and kayaks/small boats can be launched in front of the building.
Applecross (via the famous Bealach na Ba), the Isle of Skye, Shieldaig and Torridon are all within easy driving distance and there are numerous local walks which can be undertaken without getting into the car.
Kishorn itself is well known for its excellent Kishorn Seafood Bar – only a short walk from The Old Meeting House. Lochcarron (5 miles) has a small Spar mini-supermarket, a good garage/filling station, restaurants, a medical practice and a rail station nearby.
A Good housekeeping deposit of £100.00 is required.
