Delightful property in a lovely location. Well equipped and comfortable. Loved the sense of isolation, great views. Surroundings immediate and further afield within the national park accessible and great for exploring this beautiful area. Patience will reward you with wildlife sightings, red squirrels, deer, eagles and smaller birds of prey.

Stable Cottage
Great place and an Aga as a bonus! Very comfortable and well appointed. The grounds of the estate are good for walks and the surrounding area for drives. Portpatrick for a nice harbour town and Stranraer for shopping.
Learag
We have just returned from a short break at Learag Culbokie. The cottage was well appointed and with modern and tastefully chosen furniture. Everything was scrupulously clean with all modern amenities such as dish washer, large tv with sound bar etc. Most appreciated was the generous welcome pack containing rolls, butter, jam, chocolate and crisps. The accommodation is very new and is situated in a quiet and peaceful area alongside the owners house. It gives a good base for touring the area. All in all we were delighted to have found this gem.
Stoer Lodge
Simply perfect place! Cottage is full of character, immaculately clean, warm, and couldn't be in a more perfect location. The views are outstanding, the surrounding area beautiful. Plenty of walks to be had, close by and further afield. Dog heaven!
The Challey at Heathcote
My wife and I stayed at Heathcote for 5 nights at end of September. Chalet was in a lovely quiet location near the Speyside way. It was beautifully presented, modern and clean and met all of our requirements. We would definitely book again as it is ideal for exploring surrounding area of Morayshire and Cairngorm mountains.
Cameron's Cottage
This is the second time I have booked with Wilderness Cottages. My first hiring on the Isle of Skye last year was fantastic. I expected a similar service this year and eagerly booked Cameron's Cottage for a two week October half term break almost 6 months to go. Unfortunately, the property owners cancelled our second week booking (as well as the next week's hiring) with less than 48 hours notice from our arrival time and offered no explanation or apology, despite frequenting their coffee shop. Whilst I can not fault either the standard of the property or the efforts of the Wilderness Cottages team to help find us a short notice replacement, this experience changed our holiday.

What a fantastic little hiddy hole! Very clean and very homely! Hosts are so welcoming and kind! A real must if you wish see Loch Ness, can really recommend it! Eatery's recommend pizza, Chinese, the Bothy and a fab cafe in Invermoriston! Enjoy xx
Stablemans Lodge
The accommodation was a joy to stay in. It was perfect for my 3 children (aged 6, 9 and 10), wife and I. The bbq house was an added bonus. I would strongly recommend the accommodation and village. We like to stay in different places but we will definately come back again!

Great cottage. Really well and thoughtfully equipped, lovely and warm, great birdlife all around. A couple of miles outside Killin, accessible by road or bike and walking track, and plenty of beautiful scenery and great walking nearby.

Cedar Cottage
We enjoyed our stay at Cedar Cottage. It is immaculately presented and spotlessly clean with lots of special extra touches. The owners should be very proud of themselves. It is much better than the photographs. The garden is a really decent size and is totally secure. Take lots of bird food and red squirrel food. We had two red squirrels every day. I got good close up photos of them just using the car as a hide. So many different birds on the cottages own bird feeding station. Yellowhammers which we don't see at home were a treat. Would highly recommend.

Excellent cottage. Very comfortable and with excellent facilities. Very peaceful setting but near enough to the village for a gentle stroll. Owners very helpful and friendly. We would certainly recommend Coltsfoot to our friends and family and will look forward to visit again.

Seal Skerry Lodge
There is no doubt that Seal Skerry Lodge is in a wonderful location and the views amazing. However, the property could do with some TLC, a memory foam topper on the mattress would make the bed more comfortable along with a little more equipment in the kitchen as you need to cook most if not all meals here as location is remote. It would be much better if a vacuum cleaner was available and some modesty blinds in some areas, especially the downstairs bathroom. Other than that we enjoyed our week in the house, it was warm and comfortable but not homely. We have stayed in the area over ten times as my husband is a keen fisherman and the fish certainly didn't disappoint.

Oak Cottage
We had a lovely stay at Oak Cottage. It was very comfortable, warm and had all the amenities we could wish for including good kitchen equipment, bathroom products, great drying facilities etc. Always nice to have the welcome items too, along with lots of useful local information, selection of books, maps and brochures. The wildlife garden and pond outside was great for watching birds and red squirrels too. We would certainly want to stay again if back in the area.
Braehead Steading
We had a fantastic weekend at Barrhead. Very comfortable accommodation. Well equipped and kitted out. The standard was really high throughout. It was a home away from home. Stunning views. Great access to Ballater and surrounding countryside. We'll be back!!

Hill Cottage
Hill Cottage is just such a wonderful secluded retreat. It was cosy and warm with all the facilities you could want. BUT it is the position that makes this place magical. The amazing view over the water from the conservatory will remain in my memory for a long time. Just lovely ...we enjoyed every minute and we would thoughrilly recommend.
