Strone
I stayed in Strone at a lovely property managed by Wilderness Cottages, with three friends from London. We were only there for three nights but it was the most fantastic stay, with so many activities in easy driving distance - and the cottage was a perfect base, equipped with all the utensils and furnishings we could possibly want. We were even gifted a cake and a bottle of wine! The price was really competitive and the service was just above and beyond. Will definitely think of Wilderness Cottages if I visit this part of Scotland again.
Seahorses
Tremendous Holiday, Cottage was excellent, great views, very cosy and the welcome pack, the best ever. Even Bart our dog got a reward! The roads are difficulty, but we surprisingly adapted and got used to them rapidly. For first timers I would suggest the cottage is best approached via Lochinver, the blind summit the other way is literally blind. Lots of trips to do including one to Smoo Cave. Saw the longest Waterfall in UK by boat followed by excellent lunch in the bar at the Kylesku hotel. On the Downside the Wildlife seemed to have gone on vacation. Not impressed by the Drumbeg Hotel or the Smoo Bar

South Lodge
What a wonderful place to be. Go here and experience the ultimate silence and remoteness???
South Lodge
Amazing place, peaceful, secluded, plenty of wildlife, well equiped and cosy house. Just be careful in your car on the lane upto the house as it is very uneven and potholey.
Eilean Mor Cottage
Lovely aspect, lovely Cottage , good Art on display and well equipped.
Hill Cottage
We spent a wonderful week at Hill Cottage which was in an idilic position overlooking wonderful views of loch Laxford. The cottage was very comfortable and peaceful and surrounded by stunning mountain scenery. There were several beautiful bays nearby to visit and great walks. A week wasn't nearly long enough.
Ceol na Mara
Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our week away. We started saying 'when we get home' when returning to Ceol Na Mara in Kishorn. Says it all. Every early morning view was different. Super-clean, well supplied, comfy. Don't block up the calendar, we want to return????
Campbell House
Lovely, cosy, comfortable house with stunning views in a quiet beautiful village. Everything catered for and very good value. Not a criticism as I'm sure it can be fixed but there is something wrong with the shower. We could only get cold or luke warm water so needs looking at before next guests arrive. Fortunately it didn't spoil our holiday as we had fantastic weather. Would thoroughly recommend this property
Wilderness Cottages Replied...
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and feedback on Campbell House. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay but sorry to hear about the issue with the shower. We have passed your feedback onto the owner and this will be looked into at the next changeover.

Log House
This was our 2nd visit - 15 years between the 2! Lovely cabin. Like others have said - a proper log cabin not a caravan with fake wooden cladding. No snow this time but still, the only log cabin in the Highlands we'd really want to go to. Very clean, well equipped and perfect area for exploring the Cairngorms, Loch Ness and the Nevis Range. Very romantic so perfect for Valentine's Day. (with 10-year-old son in tow!)
Seal Skerry Lodge
The house in a great position with fantastic views. There is much peace and tranquility due to the fact that the house is located on a little used road. The interior is modern and bright with the floor to ceiling windows maximising the views over the loch and out towards Harris. Everything we required was provided. However, we felt the suite needed to be upgraded and a mirror provided in the double bedroom as well as an extension lead for the hairdryer. The track up to the property badly needs graded to smooth out the bumps and dips that have developed. Also, this is the first property we have stayed in where a welcome pack was not provided.
Leachachan Cottage
A stunning , well presented cottage in a truly magnificent location. We have self-catered in Scotland during April for many years now, including several times in this area, but this property beats them all hands down! Well equipped, comfortable and warm, and the owners seem to have thought of everything. But the best feature is the incredible view. The nearly tame pine marten was a bonus and completely negates the need for a TV.
White-Tail Croft
A lovely cottage in a fabulous location - wild but close to amenities. White tail croft was very modern and clean and well equipped, and warm. A highlight was the huge window looking at at the scenery from Macleod's tables to the right to the Cullins on the left (south). The cottage is approached by a fairly rough minor road, but its not really a problem tbh and most of the potholes were repaired while we were there, it certainly shouldn't deter anyone from visiting. We would be very happy to visit this cottage again.

Seascape Cottage
Brilliant, had a marvelous time, enjoyed the walking, area, people especially the owners. Accommodation was immaculate, not a thing out of place, very comfortable and peaceful. Thanks to you all.
The Old Post Office
The Old Post Office has been attractively refurbished and is a very clean, comfortable, well-equipped house. From the living/dining room you look directly onto Clashnessie beach, beautiful at any time of day or night and regardless of the weather. The house is quiet and our bed (ground floor) was very comfortable. We enjoyed the log-burner some evenings and the house is generally warm and well-insulated. We love the local landscape and loved being back in this stunning part of Scotland. Our stay was very relaxing and enjoyable. It is our first experience of Wilderness Cottages and we found both Judith and Julie very helpful and friendly.

Tor Cottage
This was a lucky booking after a last minute cancellation. So pleased we managed to spend a week here and would love to think it will be available in the future. It was perfect in every way and it will be extremely difficult to find something to match it. The setting is stunning and just a ideal distance from Tarbert. Everything inside is of a high quality and there is everything you need including lots of excellent reading material. John and Ruth made us feel very welcome.. we were very sorry to leave.
Ardbeg
Absolutely fantastic, chosen for a get together with our daughters and their partners and Sizzle the mini dachshund the space is perfect and the view amazing. From arrival to leaving no problems. The kitchen is well equipped for eating in or some great places to eat Gairloch. Highly recommend, a great holiday cottage. Thank you
South Lodge
We had a wonderfull stay in South Lodge. The house the exceptional view and absolute silence were overwhelming. We would say GOGOGO?????. From Holland it is not far so living in Brittain it is around the corner
Shore Cottage
3rd stay. Just love the location as do our mad collies. Very mixed weather...But still got a tan...???? Just wish the ' driveway' to it was in better condition.
Port Elgol Cottage
Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely cottage, we hope to return again.
Log House
Had a wonderful 2 weeks in a lovely log house. The only sad thing was the damage to the forest due to the storm in December. Loved every minute of our holiday and cant wait to come back in October.

The Coltsfoots
Lovely cabin, just minutes from the village centre but feels like you are out in the countryside. Great situation if you have a dog as can get out onto forestry path/walks from the cabin. It was very clean, well equipped & warm. Gordon came to check everything was ok after we arrived & then a small problem midweek was swiftly resolved by him. Will return when holidaying in area again. Highly recommend this holiday accommodation.
Tor Cottage
Tor cottage is a top quality accommodation set in a wonderful location. Walking is our passion and Tor Cottage provides that warm welcoming return after a day in the hills whatever the weather. Wonderful hosts !
The Mill
The Mill is located on such a picturesque hill side view that offers the most amazing sunrises. The property itself is very spacious and comfortable with tasteful decor throughout. Cleaning standards are very high too, spotless throughout. Location of the property is just perfect for a drive to the coast or inland. We filled a full week with adventures locally and we will return. 10/10

Beautiful location, beautiful cottage everything you need, including a lovely new upgraded bathroom. Can't wait for our next visit
Grain Store
A fantastic property in a fantastic location, beautifully prepared and with great facilities. I cannot recommend the Grain Store (and indeed any of the 3 properties at Balneden Steading) enough. Superb!
Leachachan Cottage
Fantastic property in a superb location with stunning views. The cottage is so well equipped and thoughtfully laid out - we had a wonderful stay.
Ceol na Mara
Absolutely loved our stay at this cottage, it had everything we needed. Views from the lounge window over the Loch toward Skye were stunning. Owner was friendly and very helpful with any inquiries. We'll be back soon. Thanks again.

Seahorses
Really enjoyed our stay at Seahorses. Views spectacular and the cottage was perfect. Well equipped and peaceful. Excellent communication from Wilderness Cottages. Thank you
Callakille
I can only hugely recommend this lovely cottage and it's magnificent setting.
Cala
A wonderful house in a sublime setting. My daughter and I are coming to the end of our week stay here. The house itself is a fabulously designed home tailored to the surrounding geography and, of course the elements. Warm and cosy, peaceful and aesthetically ultra appealing to our tastes. A complete treat to stay here and a huge thank you to the owners for enabling us to do so. We enjoyed huge days out hill walking and being able to return to a peaceful extremely relaxing home (with fantastic bathrooms) has been wonderfully relaxing for us both. Thank you, Jess and Gary
Seascape Cottage
Fantastic stay everything you need is their , beautiful cottage, spotless comfortable, views are stunning walks are awesome, but Sarah is a wonderful genuine person and will do anything to help you out if in need, even better when the local wild life pose for a photo out side of your window,,for the road - pathetic down to cottage is very bumpy rocky just go very slow with car.
Beach Lodge
We had a wonderful stay at Beach Lodge. Such an amazing location with direct access to the beach. The lodge was warm, comfortable and nicely presented on our arrival. We liked the large dining table and fire in the dining room and equally loved relaxing in the main living area. Outside there is a lovely sitting area which is protected from the weather and despite the rain we were able to sit here, have a BBQ and enjoy the fresh air. It is off the beaten track and the very last part of the road requires a higher vehicle. This is why we booked of course for a relaxing week, walking and enjoying the beach with our dogs. Take plenty of provisions if you don't want to do a daily shopping trip. (There is an adequate freezer and fridge.) However Stranraer,a short drive away offers a good range of supermarkets for provisions. Additional logs were provided by the owner for a small and reasonable cost. This was really only needed for the ambiance of the fires because the lodge was actually really warm. The kitchen provides all amenities, and a range of cooking options. All in all, a very nice, relaxing stay with the family, in a stunning location.

Sealight
We had a wonderful stay at Sealight and the cottage had everything we needed for a stress-free, relaxing week. The Ardnamurchan Peninsula is simply breathtaking.
Stablemans Lodge
We stayed at Stablemans Lodge for a week in February which was excellent. This is the second time we've stayed and really enjoyed it. Perfect location and surroundings, with easy access to beautiful countryside. We shall definitely be returning again.
Seascape Cottage
This was our second visit to seascape cottage, we have had a wonderful week, beautiful weather for February too! Sarah is such an amazing host and the welcome pack was huge-very generous ! The bays and coves, the views from the floor to ceiling windows, the wildlife, the peace and tranquility of the area is second to none. The cottage was spotless on arrival. Sarah has thought of everything from dishwasher tablets and tin foil to fishing nets and balls for the dog etc. We loved seeing the deer in the field at breakfast and seals bobbing about in the bay-wish we could have stayed longer. We hope to be back soon! Thank you once again for a wonderful stay.
Cedar Cottage
We had the most wonderful stay at Cedar Cottage, it's a real home from home. We had multiple daily visits from red squirrels and lots of birds, we were really happy to see that enough bird food was provided for our whole stay. The living room is really cosy in the evenings with the fire going, although not needed as the cottage is a lovely warm temperature anyway, but coal, logs and kindling all provided if you want a fire. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to do your own cooking, and it was a nice touch to provide teabags and milk for our arrival, as well as a bottle of wine and chocolates! It's in a great location, very quiet and with a lovely forest walk just through the garden gate. We wish we could've stayed for a lot longer. We will definitely return!
Ceol na Mara
Very comfortable cottage right on the shore of Loch Kishorn. Comfortable bed, and living room, well equiped kitchen. We enjoyed sitting in the lounge, looking through the living room window, watching the weather travel across the loch. There is a track down past the house to park the car on the side of the house, and space on the road above. Nearest shop is Loch Carron approx 7 miles away. Good communication with the owner. Beautiful walks and cycle rides, hardly any traffic around.
Old Lock Keepers Cottage
Very clean, warm and comfortable cottage. In a lovely quiet setting with some nice local walks. All the essentials needed were provided. (It is definitely best to arrive in daylight. The weir when shallow water is flowing over is safe to cross but would be a bit unnerving if you arrived in the dark). We visited for a joint pearl anniversary and have loved our week at the old lock keepers cottage. Thank you
