Seal Skerry Lodge
Lovely house in the most perfect setting. Perfect for watching wildlife, weather and sky. The kitchen is really well equipped and a pleasure to cook in.

Arrivain Cottage
Arrivain is a very clean, warm and cosy cottage which has been lovingly restored by the owners, from whom we received a very warm and friendly welcome on arrival. The cottage is very well equipped and in a good location for travelling and planning days out / walking in the area. It has a secluded garden with much wildlife and a very nice stream to sit beside. We loved it and would not hesitate to book it again if we were planning to holiday in this area.
Pityoulish Cottage
We had a wonderful two week stay in Pityoulish Cottage. The views are stunning. The Sitooterie was also very special. We sat one evening watching Deer chasing each other on the other side of the river. The cottage was nicely presented and comfortable. The nearby Loch Pityoulish is quiet and perfect for paddle boarding and swimming. A great base for exploring the area. We would love to return.
Seascape Cottage
What a fantastic week we had at this lovely cottage, from the welcome basket on arrival from Sarah, to the views and walks along the gorgeous coastline. We were lucky enough to sea seals playing in the bay. We would just like to say thank you for letting us be part of your lovely community.

Matheson's Croft House
Lovely, cosy cottage tucked away right at the end of the little road. You can really get away from everybody here. Rayburn boiler took a bit of getting used to but turned out to be very good. Heating easy to adjust via thermostat, had a good deal of wet weather. There is a back gate which allows access to the loch but have to navigate high grass and then slippery, seaweed covered rocks. Great base for mountain walking and cycling, with very easy access to Skye. WiFi in the cottage was a godsend, mobile phone signal was variable. We enjoyed two wonderful weeks here and would highly recommend but you do need a car. Cottage caretaker was very helpful at the start when the boiler tripped. Staff at Wilderness cottages made booking and then altering our booking very easy. Thank you!
Cedar Cottage
There may be no wi-fi, but there is the best bird bird feeder ever- even attracts red squirrels. Quiet and secluded. This cottage has a great garden and is well fitted out inside.

Stablemans Lodge
We spent a lovely week at the Stablemans lodge, the pictures online don't do it justice, it is beautiful inside and little touches such wonderful artwork from the owner, make it feel really special. The kitchen is well equipped and we found a very generous welcome hamper on our arrival. The BBQ hut was a fantastic treat and we enjoyed cooking food we purchased from the local grocers and butchers on the high street. If you get a chance to visit the owners art studio, it's worth while and only a 10 minute walk from the property, details are at the property. Sitting out on the balcony was always the perfect end to each day and because it's covered in, the weather didn't stop our enjoyment of sitting outside. The owners were very welcoming and provided everything we could have needed for a wonderfully relaxing break. Unlike a lot of places, there was an ample supply of logs for the fire.

Jura
A beautiful cottage in a great location with great facilities. Well equipped and has everything you need with great walking right from the doorstep. We went with our kids age 1 and 7. We'd love to go back. It's very remote (but thats what we wanted). At first the lack of phone signal/Wifi was a little annoying, as you need to book tables to eat out in Applecross, however I think being disconnected from it all made our holiday much much better than it would have otherwise been, so I hope it stays that way and I'd encourage everyone to try it.

Upper Folds
We stayed for a week in this absolutely superb cottage. Very comfortable, finished to a very high standard, we couldn't fault it. A totally Wilderness Cottage for sure, we loved the peace and quiet, and the total silence of it all. A great week to recharge our batteries, no phones, and no TV. Bliss, we will definitely be returning.

Lovely week. Chalet very comfortable and peaceful. Handy for spey way and all areas round about
Seascape Cottage
A lovely cottage in a fabulous location. The cottage has everything you need including a super welcome hamper. Stunning views, beach just a 2 minute walk, very quiet and peaceful. Lots of lovely coastal walks and lots of interesting places to visit. You can walk for hours and not see a soul. Can throughly recommend this cottage if you are looking for a peaceful place to unwind.

Ardbeg
This has been the fourth occasion we have enjoyed the excellent facilities afforded by "Ardbeg". Certainly one of our favourite holiday rental homes and it is with complete confidence I predict any tenant will be suitably impressed. It was particularly pleasing to find such a vast improvement with BT wi-fi access during this last visit. Many thanks to the owners for the pride taken in the property.

Lilybank
This was our 2nd time staying at Lilybank and once again we had a lovely holiday. The property itself is immaculate and well equipped with everything you could need. We enjoyed games nights at the large dining table, cosy chats in the comfortable lounge and afternoons watching the boats from the garden. Easily enough room for 6 adults who don't want to be on top of each other all the time! Fort Augustus is a lovely location, well placed to visit the Highlands area. We would highly recommend a visit!

Leachachan Barn
We have just had a fabulous relaxing week at Leachachan barn. The barn is well equipped and a real home from home with fabulous views and wildlife watching opportunities. It's on the quieter side of the Loch with forest walks directly up behind. The closest petrol station/shop is closed on Sunday so make sure you arrive with enough fuel to get to Kyle or further afield. We look forward to returning...
Eilean Mor Cottage
Perfect place for exploring North West Skye. We visited Dunvegan Castle, coral beaches,Talisker Bay and distillery. Dunvegan provided our needs for groceries, petrol and tyre pump. The cottage conservatory has a fabulous view of the loch and we spent our evenings their.

Cameron's Cottage
A beautiful property in a stunning location, with a delightful host. We were really impressed. There's so much space and light inside, all the furniture including beds was very comfortable, well equipped kitchen, and a high standard of cleanliness. The surroundings are idyllic, with highland cattle and a pony in the field next door and beautiful views everywhere. It's a quiet location but a short walk away from a cafe serving delicious food, and not much further on foot to the village of Foyers, with a waterfall, shop, post office and cafe. A good base for exploring Loch Ness and the surrounding countryside. Thoroughly recommend
Matheson's Croft House
Matheson's croft is a very well equipped cottage which fitted all our needs and everything of the equipment worked perfect. At our arrival things were prepeared to make us a perfect stay, kitchen, gear, dishes and bathroom were very clean. We also want to support the "no pets statement". There is a good selection of DVD and books for rainy days. Furniture is comfortable, especially beds and sofa and decoration of the walls is nice to look at. The Rayburn has been easier to use than expected as this was new to us. This remembered us on times we were cooking on a wood fired oven at home. Otherwise outside the house some improvements can be done. First of all an access to the lochside should be made, a door through the fence and cut clear a walkway. Unfortunately a note about the fenced off lochside is missing in the house description. Also some gravel can be added in front of the back door, there is a puddle that slowly dries after a rainy day. Probably the cleaner of the house will estimate this too, of course we changed footwear on the doorstep, but some dirt always finds it's way to the inside floor. So the outside is why our rating is one step down from excellent (house excellent, outside good).
Seabank Cottage
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Seabank Cottage. The amazing view from the kitchen window alone was enough to win me over but it was also very clean, well-equipped and comfortable with lots of characterful individual touches. its location in Lochcarron was ideal for exploring this beautiful part of Scotland. I would happily return to this special place any time.
Arrivain Cottage

Tor Cottage
First class cottage and hosts. Views amazing. I think we will be back. Thank you for the advice on where to walk. We ticked off Sea Eagles, Sea Otters and Golden Eagles what's not to like. Missing Harris already :)
Eilean Mor Cottage
This is a lovely well equipped holiday cottage in a lovely location with outstanding views. The oven was a bit tricky and wasn't working properly and if the upstairs bed was king size then it would have been perfect but absolutely no complaints we had a fantastic week here.

Old Lock Keepers Cottage
Cottage has lots of character and everything you need. Lovely enclosed gardens and ideal location right at 2 locks on the canal, it's very quite but busy at the same time, relaxing though. Stairs are steep as advised to the bedrooms upstairs. This cottage is not perfect but the good bits make it a great place to visit. We did feel more cleaning was needed done in between guests but this is the only issue Sunroom is great also, larrge utility room Can walk in both directions from cottage and fort Augustus is a 4 mile easy walk along the path.. Fort William 30 mins away. Urquhart castle 30 mins away also. Fort Augustus also has a few shops and boat trips. Location is ideal for visiting surrounding areas.
Seascape Cottage
An amazing place to spend a week - view across the sea, beach less than 5 minutes walk away and a beautiful area. Plenty or wildlife on land, sea and air to enjoy and enjoyable walks from the cottage if you don't want to take the car out. The cottage itself is very well appointed and comfortable, excellent basket of goodies to welcome guests and the neighbours are all very welcoming. The owner, Sarah, is incredibly friendly and helpful - we'll certainly be back.
Learag
Our stay at Learag was as close to perfect as we could have imagined. Even the weather was favourable, which is always a bonus in this beautiful area. The house itself was in a very useful location for visits in the surrounding area - it was in exceptional condition, very clean and tidy. Everything we needed was supplied and was of very nice quality. Evelyn and Bryden had obviously given a lot of thought into how the place was presented. Visits from their very friendly little dog, Nova, also helped to make this stay memorable. Highly recommended.
Learag
Beautiful relaxing house in lovely peaceful location with all amenities required. Great outside space with plenty seating areas. Everything first class. Look forward to returning.
Pityoulish Cottage
wonderful place to stay, views from the windows and garden are incredible. Made full use of the garden room as the sunset. Swam most days in the loch opposite the cottage. Lovely clean, bright, quiet place to stay in a stunning location
